This is one of those times that I wish I knew how to say "NO".
If I could turn back time I'd give it "back" to you!
I never really inspected the picnic table when my friend and I picked it up from the boutique. One of the first things you will learn is to inspect the piece your thinking about redoing before you commit to it!
It was a cold and dreary day when we arrived to get it.......
I mean it was cold! So instead of taking 5 minutes to inspect the pieces I just told the guys to load her up. I should have known something was wrong when one of the guys looked at me strangely and asked if I was sure. Well yes, I was sure! I have had two back surgeries and Lori is 4' 2" and a peanut. So we weren't picking it up!
Unfortunately, there was no one available to help unload it when we got home. So, of course, we had no choice but to do it ourselves.
I have a famous saying amongst friends and family. "I don't need no man!"
As we were looking at the benches when we were putting them in the yard we noticed the extreme amount of moss and algae all over the surfaces. The wood was split due to aging. The bottoms of the feet were rotting. This was not kept up!
This is one of the biggest mistakes I have made!
